Kinko Ueno, Pastry Chef
Kinko Ueno has been involved in creating unique and enticing desserts for more than five years at a number of acclaimed Bay Area restaurants. Starting at Ame as an assistant pastry chef, Ueno was appointed as pastry chef for the restaurant in 2006 and is responsible for creating new desserts and managing the pastry department staff. Prior stints at Boulevard, Americano, and, most recently, Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco have provided Ueno with a strong background in pastry design and a passion for using seasonal and exotic ingredients in unexpected but delightful ways. Ueno culinary training includes Jean Paul Thiebaut Cooking Studio in Japan, Le Cordon Blue in Japan and the California Culinary Academy.
